2014 RECIPIENTS
JAZMINE & ALEXIS
Jazmine graduated from High School with a 3.2 GPA. She credits her loving mother as her role model. Jazmine is a very responsible young woman and in addition to her studies, she got a job so that she could help with the household finances and buy her own school clothes. Jazmine was awarded $500. She will be attending a junior college in the Fall and plans to transfer to a 4 year university within two years. She is a business major. Her long-term goal is to also attend Culinary School and one day to own her own restaurant.
Alexis graduated from High School earning a 3.0 in her last semester. Her father died in 2012, but in spite of the pain this caused her, Alexis was determined to make it through school. Her teachers say that she stands out as a leader and also a very compassionate person and is a very deserving young woman. Alexis was awarded $500. She will be attending a 4 year university in the fall. Her goal is to become a nurse.
